I believe so. After I did the 10.4.6 update, it always joins my preferred networks now when it wakes up from sleep or on startup.

well i recived my my intel mac mini and installed 10.4.6 straight away and have had no such problems.

10.4.6 fixed it for a lot of people but not others. Check the main thread for more:

My signal strength is better but I am still getting funny ping times.

A number of issues affect Intel Macs. 10.4.6. may have fixed a minor software bug but it has not fixed the major hardware flaws in a large number of early Intel Minis. These require a replacement machine.
