I'm pretty certain I want to trade up my 12" PB for a 15". I simply need more work space when I'm on the road. Anyone selling one, preferably in NYC (I'm not sure I'm comfortable messing with a long distance purchase in this price range) for a reasonable price?

If you might be interested in a 17" hi-res model from one state over (PA), PM or email me. I don't have enough posts here to create a new thread, but I have a 17" Rev E. posted at MacNN for sale under the same username that I have here.

Thanks guys. I'm definitely looking for a 15" and after some thought, i'd really prefer to keep this transaction local. I'm just not comfortable dealing with this much money long distance.

I had one lined up, but it appears to have fallen through, so I am still looking. I will also be selling my 12" PB (1.5ghz, 1.25gb, 60gb, combo) once I get my files moved over to the new computer. I could do this beforehand as well if someone was interested in some sort of trade deal.

For a small fee, but a lot of peace of mind, you could always use an escrow service like escrow.com

That would allow you to make a long-distance deal without having to worry about getting burned. Just something to think about.

Thanks guys. I'm familiar with escrow services, but given how often these come up in NYC, I figure I'll just wait it out. (go figure I need it relatively quickly and can't find one right now  )

I'd also be willing to consider a previous "lo-res" version (1.5 or 1.67ghz, 1280x854) depending on the price. Just figured I'd toss that out there.
