I'm looking to upgrade to a MacBook Pro in the near future (or a MacBook, pending the rumors are true) so I would have to sell my PowerBook to fund that.

Here's the specs:

12" PowerPC G4 @ 1.5ghz
768mb RAM (256 Builtin + 512mb stick)
80gb HD (5400rpm)
Bluetooth 2 +EDR
Superdrive
Airport Extreme
Sudden Motion Sensor
Two Finger Scrolling
Original Box
Manuals
Software Discs
Applecare Until August 31st '08

This model retailed for $1700 and the Applecare was $349, so that put this at over $2k with tax. I would like to get $1500 shipped for it (thanks Sam), although I may not be totally committed to selling yet, just seeing if there is anybody interested.

Now, I welcome any constructive criticism about the price. Here are various pictures:

If it's a feeler, I'm going to tell you that your price is too low. Sort of. Yours is the high-end 12" Rev. D.

The Rev. E moved the high end D's features to being standard at 1500. In spite of this, your warranty adds the 350... plus a RAM upgrade makes your computer's original value around 1900 to 1925. I'd say that seeing as the current features would be the same with a new one for that price, yours should fetch closer to 1500. The 12" MacBooks AREN'T out yet, so don't take that as an excuse.

To me at least, that would be the one reason I'd say the price looks good. The warranty is a huge plus though.

Thanks, I've changed the price to $1500 shipped. I only use the "MacBooks" as an alternative, I'd like to sell this to get a MacBook Pro, but if I don't get much for it I may be forced to go with a "MacBook" or the likes.

If you're serious about upgrading (a decision you have to make), I would sell it sooner than later because you will see a decrease in value after the new machines come out. Thats pretty obvious but its not fun to lose money waiting. After doing a little research I think you're asking for too much. I would think this machine is more in the 1000-1200 range after quick estimation.

I'd say with the warranty 1250-1350.

I bought mine for $1000 with no warranty, however I do have 1.25 GB Ram. I would agree, the sooner the better.

I would have to agree I would say around 1300... you might be low balling it with the apple care Kwyjibo.

I'm not really going to make an offer on the machine, I was just giving my opinion because I see them around 1200 ish (and thats on ebay where the some sellers load up with illegal software ....). The only ones I see going higher are brand new ones. I think most of these machines are eligible to add applecare still, so to me I would value the option of being able to add it as much as actually having it. some buyers would rather roll the dice ...

Can't you get this thing NEW for $1500 shipped? I'd say $1400 shipped, with the warranty.

No. New is 1500... he shouldn't have to base his price off of what other people are doing stupidly. The warranty is a MAJOR plus....

Ok Larry, I'm actually contemplating making this purchase in maybe a few weeks, as I would like to have the screen spanning capability and smaller form factor. I could get this less from other people, but I know I trust you, so here's my few questions:

Does this come from a smoke free home?
What's the condition of the battery?
Are you now including the 1GB RAM you bought with it?

Thanks.

1. Yes (I can't stand people smoking).
2. Battery is at 3865 mAh of the original 4400 mAh (87%).
3. I was just going to post this, yes, the PowerBook now has 1.25gb of RAM!

:)
