I am looking for a Windows XP set so I can do the dual boot thing on my Mac Mini. I know, I love Mac, but most of my ministerial software is on PC. I haven't used some of them since I switched to a Mac 2 years ago.

I can't afford the $199 retail, and can barely afford anything at all. So if you have one that you could part with for a reasonable price, I would be interested.

Thanks!

Not sure what you consider "reasonable", but XP Pro sells for about $120 from most online stores. You can get Home edition for much less.

Newegg has XP Home for $90
and that version WILL work.

it's oem, and you get a free cable splitter to satisfy the hardware requirement

Unless the licence has changed recently, a cable splitter is not sufficient for bundling an OEM version of Windows. The packaging says something like "only for distribution with a computer" and Microsoft's OEM site defines "computer". A cable splitter is not part of that definition.

Edit: I just checked, and (at least here in NZ) it needs to be bundled with either a CPU, motherboard, hard drive or RAM.

interesting...i checked newegg and it doesnt even come with a cable splitter anymore, but it does have this blurb
All OEM software including the operating system is 100% non-refundable once purchased and delivered. OEM versions are intended for system builders only and cannot be transferred to another PC once it is installed. Purchasers of this software are required to comply with the terms of the System Builder License, including responsibility for providing all end-user support. Newegg.com is not responsible for system/software incompatibility, and incompatibility issues do not qualify software as damaged or defective. Customers are encouraged to contact the respective software publisher for answers to technical questions, such as minimum system requirements, prior to purchase.

I have a RETAIL copy of XP Home. It comes with SP1, but if you have a pc, you can "slipstream" the SP2 update onto a new disk and it will work just fine :) I will sell it for $75 shipped in US/PAYPAL only.......

see here for the details: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

please pm me with info if interested :p
