Ok. Gonna finally give up my rig and get a mac. This time I'm dead seirous.

AMD Athlon 64 2800+
Giga-byte GA-K8NS
512MB PC3200
40GB
DVD, CD-RW, Floppy
nVidia GeForce FX 5500 256MB
8 USB 2.0 ports [2 front 6 back]
4 Firewire ports [3 back 1 inside]
550W PS with 2 lighted fans
100% clear case with 2 multi-color lighted fans [rgb], 1 steady blue lighed fan, and 1 flashy fan
*shipped with no operating system*

If the offers are good enough, I will also get rid of my 19" Sony CRT GDM-400PS

I am looking at getting an Intel Mini or possibly iMac. Depends on how much I get or what kind of offers are made. Thanks

Thats not really a gaming PC.. I would guess maybe $350 to $450. Thats basically what my PC is, except for the fans.

Well, yeah, you're right. When it was built it was though....considering it had more ram and a 120gb hd in it, but now its been reduced to what you see up there. But it still games nicely. Half life 2 runs beautifully with all settings on high on the current setup.

I dunno anything about the rest of it, but the Gigabyte K8NS board is the best board I've EVER owned.

Its such a well designed piece of computer machinery, and has awesome overclocking features.

From a fellow A64 owner, this'll take you there and back. Great machine. Good luck selling.

Thanks. Its a great computer...but now I don't have time for it. It greatly exceeds my needs, and I am wanting to downsize, mini and a lcd monitor, or just an imac. I just hope to get some good $ for it, lord knows I put a bunch in it.

BUMP

It's up for trade now. My sister's MacBook has relit my inspiration in want for a mac.....so I'm ready to dump the PC and get one.

Hoping for at least a G4, with Panther or Tiger.

If you don't get any really good bites on here, you may want to hang onto it. I built a very nice Core 2 Duo PC with an awesome case and lots of upgrades. I then got my macbook and I hardly ever use it BUT it is nice to keep in my office for when I do get the occasional desire to game or for when I need to use a windows machine. To be frank... it does kick the living crap out of my macbook as far as performance. I just don't like the windows part of it and the lack of portability. Someday, I may turn it into a Windows Media computer in my family room. Long story short, you may just consider keeping it and saving up for the mac. Best of luck on the sale though, that is a nice computer. Happy Holidays! :)

Your going to need some cash added to it if you want to get a iMac or a CD Mini...That's not really a gaming pc currently...I bet it was when it was built though! :)

Feeling rather impulsive this morning. I'm currently the high bidder on

I didn't really want to get rid of it, but in order to get a nice mac I need to. Or I could get a decent one, save up, and later on get a nice one.

More in the low 300-high 200 range. 40 gigs, only 512 mb of ram, a slow processor, thats what I would expect for it.

yea, I was thinking about $200-$275 local pick-up. It's not a gaming machine at all, granted it's interesting looking, but it is in need of some major upgrades to make it gaming ready.
