I'm looking for stuff to expand my PowerBook 1400cs...

A CD-ROM module (12x would be great)
A stick of 48 MB of RAM
A Harddrive upgrade (no bigger than 8 GB)

I'm going to swap the CD-ROM drive with a floppy drive, so if you want it, it's yours after I swap it.

I have a Dell Truemobile card that worked 100% in my 1400c, still with all its original packaging, Lucent (orinoco) branded and it's the card that 2 online networking tutorials used in their 1400cs

I'm looking for stuff to expand my PowerBook 1400cs...
A CD-ROM module (12x would be great)
An ethernet PCMCIA card
A 802.11b PCMCIA card (needs to be 16-bit and Orinoco brand)
A stick of 48 MB of RAM
A Harddrive upgrade (no bigger than 8 GB)
And a power cable (the one that goes from the power brick to the wall socket).

The power cable should be one of two types, and commonly available in computer or electronic stores (one computer store here was giving them away free). My 1400 is packed away and I can't check right now.

The first type is a three blade "D" shaped plug like the back of almost every desktop computer

The second type is a two pin plug like is used on small appliances and shavers.

There is a third type, used in the Yo Yo adaptors, called a "mickey mouse" cable, because it it like type 2 except has three pins in three semicircular lobes arranged like the mouse and his famous ears.

If you go to a game store and ask for a Xbox power cable, you'll get one of those.

Yeah! I figured that out just now and used the power cable from a roommate's PC (shhh... and yes I did turn it off first :p), works great!

(edit: sorry, moved my question to a new thread, this isn't a tech support thread... sorry again!

Just double-checking, the drive is a module specifically for the PowerBook 1400 series, correct? If so, I'll take it.
