so, most of you who answer will probably be the same as before for my archiving tv shows question..

well basically, i've found an appropriate image encoding... using mp4.... but i keep getting audio sync slip after a little bit of the clip... now these are 20+ minute clips, so i suppose it's nothing too surprising... but if anyone has any tips for fixing this (fairly simply, so i can do it quickly and easily on a largeish scale) that'd be ideal

any help would be sweet.
thanks

well i've looked a bit more closely, and while the problem isn't as bad as i thought, it does seem a bit off.

though, it might be the formac studio causing it to slip, rather than the compression... problem is, i'm looking at animation, so it's tough to tell.

anyhoo, tips on fixing slippage would be good. something short of lining up the audio in fcp of course... ideally...

Odds are it's slipping during capture, not during compression. If you can capture in 15-20 minute chunks, then edit the chuncks together and compress.

yeah, that's what i kinda realized.

what happened was. i had 2 episodes back to back
the first being live action, second being animation

captuerd them at the same time.

and the animation was the one slipping, so that makes sense

guess i need to limit it to one episode...

thanks for the tip.
