Hey there -- I have here two iMacs for sale.
They should be in working condition, but the PVA board is bad, I believe. Other than that, they are good. I can ship for parts as well. The blue has 64MB RAM and the graphite has none.
Asking $20 blue, $15 graphite + shipping.
OR: If parted out, I would like $10, shipped for the RAM stick.

If the dvd rom drive is good, i'm interested. Let me know.

I'm pretty sure that everything is working. I know the RAM I took from the graphite (64MB) was working. The only reason that is not included is that it fell somewhere.
The drives included in each should be working quite well.
Are you interested in both or just one? What is your ZIP code?

Edit: Nevermind, both interested parties scrapped their plans.

What kind of specs are they? Do they have DVD-ROMs? I'm interested mainly in the casing on the Indigo, the fastest mainboard, and something better than a CD-ROM drive. Do you take trades? Lemme know. :D

How much and where could I get a new PDA board, if the PDA boards are cheap I may take the Indigo off your hands :).

I believe he ment PVA board. Looking at the pictures thats the problem.
The PVA board drives the monitor.
Whoever attempts this repair, please god get the service manual and follow ALL instructions, ground yourself and your screwdriver, and be, very, very careful.
You'll be removing the anode cap off the CRT, with if not done right, you could be killed.

Yeah, PVA (power, video adapter). Sorry :o Original post changed.
But anyway, yeah, I didn't attempt this because I don't really know all the CRT handling procedures. I was gonna have "the guy downtown" fix them, but he just went out of business this week, so he was busy packing and leaving.
Specs, I am not sure about. I know the graphite has a DVD-ROM and that the Indigo SHOULD have one as well. I will throw an extra drive in with the indigo, just in case.

The indigo prob. has a CD ROM and 350MHz and the graphite should be 400mhz dvd SE version. :)
Just what I've gathered from the hints you've said...
EDIT: I could tell by the lights of the powerbutton. If it's yellow it's the 350Mhz (indigo) and if it's white it's prob. the 500Mhz G3. If the graphite is yellow colored powerbutton, it's the 400mhz version, if it's white it's somewhere higher (not sure about drive)
:o

Okay...
o.O
Well, anyway, does both of them have FW ports?
The model numbers also a good clue to the specs, and most of them also have specs on the bottom. >.>

I'm in LA and I am interested in the DVD ROM one, I guess the graphite one. What are the exact specs -- but more importantly, does the dvd drive work well or is it starting to grind? Only reason I want it. I'll pay pal you as soon asap when I hear from you.
