Well that is the bone-stock 17" model right now. Apple is selling it for $2500, and yours is still sealed up. I would say you could get almost that price for it right now since it's never been touched and people would save tax on the purchase (which, in my case, would be almost $250). If new 17" MBPs get released on Monday, though, be prepared to see that price drop.

yeah it's just a thought. i have a friend that just got one from a guy and it's factory sealed and he got a steal on it so i thought i would see how much we could get for it and post it to make a bit of money.

As shady as that situation sounds, you could probably turn a profit on it provided you sold it ASAP. Of course, if anyone comes and collects it after the fact because it turns out it was stolen, be prepared to have one really peeved buyer on your hands.

i don't know what any of you are assuming, but this powerbook is not stolen. i ment he bought it for a great price and i'm thinking about buying it off of him and maybe sell it. i just wanted everyone's opinion about how much they think i could get for it.
