howdy all,
i'm selling a mint condition powerbook g4/400 with 768mb ram, 10gb hard drive. (all other specs as normal - you can check www.apple-history.com for full details). i've owned this laptop for about 8 months, and i believe it has a few months left on the one year warranty from macmall (i will check into this for all interested buyers). there's no scratches, no paint chips, no dead pixels - absolutely mint. i have 9.2 installed at the moment, if you're interested i'll put 10.2 on there as well, but i can't include the X install discs. i have all original 9 install discs, hardware diagnostics, etc., plus original box, original adapter, original battery, all fully functional. i'll also throw in a usb 4-port expander and a usb-link cable to hook up the laptop to other macs/windows (os 9 support only i think, but hey, it's still better than appletalk!).
for all audio-interested people, i chose this laptop over the pbg4/550 because of the following article: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/archives/may02/053102.html, which clearly shows the audio advantages of the g4/400/500 line. for the record, i can get 9 platinumverbs in logic before audio cuts out... equivalent performance to the pb g4 667!
i'd like to get $1100 for the total package. i'm also thinking about throwing in a mce transport pro 12gb firewire hard drive with cable.. a nice way to backup your stuff for the road...
