The naked demonstration came on the same day as a similar protest in New York, where about 30 women stripped off in the snow to form the words "No Bush" - an irreverent reference to US President George W Bush.

The idea is to call attention to their cause and their message. Their method succeeds in that regard.

Last night they had a TV news story about one such protest, on KTLA, a local station in Los Angeles. The protesters spelled out something with their bodies, but the camera was on the wrong side so the message was up-side-down and went by so fast that you couldn't read it. The commentator didn't bother to say what they spelled out either. The news station was clearly just after a sensationalist story so the fact that there was a nude anti-war protest was all viewers managed to learn.

Intersesting, the one in NYC was funnier, 'No Bush', ha ;)

but naked or not, there are times when its best to have clothes on.

'The naked demonstrators, aged 20 to 60, used their bodies to form the words "No war".'

um, not so sure I'd want to see some of those women....

if this protest goes one inch toward avoiding war and saving innocent lives and the lives of our loved ones abroad, then go for it

this possible war with iraq seems like the worst reason to go to war since vietnam

somalia was humanitarian and so was the first gulf war

world war I and world war II were necessary to keep the balance of democracy in europe, and then in the whole world

former president jimmy carter said that war is a necessary evil sometimes, but can anyone give me a real reason why a war with iraq would be a "necessary" evil?

i am a moderate democrat who could have easily voted for bush in 2004 if he did well for the us, but if we go to war now, there is no way the president will get my vote and most american elections are won from the middle

Mabey Bush is doing what he feels is best for the country, based on the information he alone has, and not what is best for his political career.

he may feel that way, but i am not convinced it would help america to attack iraq

catching bin laden or at least confirming he is dead would help america

They had the story about the protest of naked women in Australia, formed a heart and the words "No War." It showed them walking to the site in robes. Then a distance photo of the demonstrators. News comentator, "We can't show the photo any closer." :p
