Must be compatible w/ a G3 B&W PowerMac 400MHz.

Shoot me a PM :)

Also may be interested in other upgrades, depending on what you have. Everyone was very helpful in my other thread, I ended up with a nice HDD.

I've been looking around, and a 1GHz ZIF is probably going to be out of what I want to spend on this machine. Maybe a 500MHz G4 ZIF would give me a nice performance increase paired with a Radeon 7000 though.

I'd even consider a 350MHz-400MHz ZIF. Does anyone have one? Or if not, maybe a solution as to where I could find one for a reasonable price?

OWC has a g3/350 pull listed at $19.00 as of now.

i have a g3/400 pull with white jumper block and original heatsink that came out of a b&w. $15 shipped?

pm me if you are interested.

Hey, sorry I should have been clearer. I have a G3/400 in there now, so I'd only be interested in anything faster than that, preferably a G4.

Hey, sorry I should have been clearer.

wow, coffee really had not kicked in yet. your auction title is clear. i just read it again and full of coffee it's quite clear

well then, in an attempt to be semi-useful... owc also has g4/500 zifs on the clearance page for $99.00. but you probably already knew that too. :o

good luck.

Hey actually I didn't know that, thanks for pointing it out. Might be doing this if noone offers anything here soon.

Hm, actually, I found this link http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Sonnet%20Technology/EG45001M/ which seems to be for $160. Any help anyone?

edit: found it, its the same CPU only used. thanks. this may be my best option, although I was hoping not to spend that much.

If my G3 is 400MHz, will I be able to swap this out without swapping any pins?

Also, it says it was pulled from a PCI Yikes, will it still work even though it's not a bonafide "upgrade" card?

Thanks for the help.

Just grab Sonnets Encore software off their site, boot into OS9, install it, patch your firmware, install the chip, and go.

A G4 chip out of a Yikes will work, as the Yikes mainboard is the same as the Yosemite board, which is in the Blue and White G3. Only difference is that ADB got neutered.

Those two look like great chips for the money. Hope it helps! ^.^
