Adios, it's been fun. I'm off to other ventures.

edit- 4/6/03:
Reasons why I left:
- The site is inundated with pointless "political" flamewars that have spread to almost every thread on the site.
- The elimination of the "Rumors" designations on several forums has de-emphasized the entire idea of this being a rumor site.

In short, this has turned into a political forum that happens to have a computer section. If there is some major change in the future I will come back, I will continue to read the main page and I will submit any rumor related information I come across to arn.

First diorio, now you?

Must be something in that Colorado Springs water.http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/veronica/rolleyes.gif

Sad to see you go, you're one of the more respected members here, adios.http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/veronica/damn.gif

Any particular reason for leaving? Whe're you going?

Good luck, though, nice to see you didn't dump and run like diorio.

Its been fun,

obviously that might have been too much, weird though.

I know some day I'll stop visiting MacRumors on a regular basis, but I don't think I'd ever go so far as to have a 'Goodbye Thread'. I imagine I'll still come back and lurk or check things out from time to time, but not to worry everyone, I'm not going anywhere any time soon :D:p

i say. if you're going, you're going. who cares.

if you know about any particular member enough for them to care, then you'll talk to them afterwards anyways.

just cheap publicity

we will miss you if you go forever

but do come back from time to time, if even for just a few posts like ensign paris, john 123, and alphatech

it's been real

What a crappy exit. Out with a fizzle, just like AlphaTech. Diorio set a fine example which I hoped would catch on. Where's my obscenity-laden insult?

I think trying to mimic or even come close to dioio's 'good bye' would be pretty lame. Almost as bad as his post. It was uncalled for and maybe someday he'll grow up and realize that he could have been a little more mature about it.

Its ok to have differences of opinion - its what makes things interesting in life. But to take it personally is a a little too much.

Well I did not know you excisted before today and where could you possibly be going, to not be able to access the Internet anymore.

I expect you are not going anywhere and this is just some kind of joke, like the thread that tried to get 'The Sims' baned.

I hadn't even seen that post until you guys mentioned it. Thats quite a grudge list. Nutz man.

I was going to comment on ths thread, but in light of diorio's fantastically childish and bile soaked exit, this thread doesn't seem quite as bad.

At least you didn't get the vile kiss-off I got. Yowsa!

I guess it figures, but a lot of the people on his list are some of the people I like the best on these forums. Go figure.

Glad to see some people liked it though.

Do you ever wonder what society would be like like if we didn't give a dang about other people's feelings or what they thought of us? Any takers for an "anything goes" thread??

No, no, no. Religion and politics would be much too civilized. I was thinking more along the lines of namecalling, slander, and baseless allegations...and poop.

Gotta have poop. :D

just for kicks i went over to durandal's old personal site.

he and i were working on a marathon mod a while back...he has had several internet sites..

i went to http://www.asurace.de.vu which was his first personal site. interestingly enough it has a simple image (see below). is this possibly his new venture? hmmmm?

also viewing the metatags of his html source reveals this interesting info:

Durandal....no reply...I would have expected at least something from him. Suck that he's going, but He hasn't really posted much lately anyway....

That Diorio goodbye was wild, I had no idea that even had happened...

Here's my take. If youre not gonna post anymore, you just kinda stop. If you have a goodbye thread, you'll be back, someday.

That said, if Durandal does read this,do you have a new AIM name? if you do IM me some time....if not, I guess you just don't im any more. Peace

Going to www.classicmac.tk also brings up the same image. Seems he registered the domain.

I've seen .tk domains before. Does anyone know what country code they are and how you get one?

Has anyone had any contact with him since outside of MacRumors?

Scem0 - your tar was annoying, it could have been anyones face, wouldn't matter. Glad you changed it.
