I've got an original (not an upgraded MP2000) Newton Technologies MP2100 in great condition! :D It comes with the following:
Newton MP2100
serial dongle
aftermarket plastic stylus
Newton-to-PC serial cable
Linksys WPC-11 802.11b wireless card
D-Link DWL-650+ 802.11b wireless card
A few things:
First, I bought this Newton as a secondary project from the original owner who used this on a daily basis for quite some time. It has the original door/screen cover on it; however, it doesn't have the back door clips.
Also, the screen is in good but used condition. There are a few typical scratches and there are wear marks at the locations of the on-screen keyboard. I believe that the simple application of a screen protector (i.e. NuShield) would fix the screen up just fine.
The wireless cards came with the newton when I purchased it and should work (as they are listed as being compatible) given the correct drivers...BUT I have not tried them out!
The newton works great and I have sync'd it up with my PB a few times to play around. The reason that I'm selling it is because I have fallen in love with my *other* newton, an MP2000U (MP2000 internally upgraded to a 2100 by Apple) and, as such I haven't found more than about 15 minutes to play with this guy since I got it.
I'm looking to get $150 shipped for the newton+accessories and I prefer paypal. I know that may seem like a lot for something that's been out of production for 9 years, but if you check for it on Ebay, you'll quickly learn that they still fetch quite a bit of money and $150 for this package is a great deal. I don't think I'm interested in trades right now, but go ahead and toss your ideas out there and we'll see. :o
I also have an original Newton MP100 (OMP) w/original stylus in great condition that I could throw in for an extra $50, if the buyer is interested...
As a self-proclaimed Newton addict, I'll tell you that if you've ever thought about checking one of these guys out, you really should! They're absolutely amazing! I still hold on to the hope that SJ will bring it back, either in PDA or Tablet form...:)
