How did it break it shipping? Hopefully it was insured and you got a check from the courier for at least $200. $1000 bucks for a Dual 2.0GHz G5 is great deal, though.

I did not have original packaging. so i had UPS pack and ship it. Apparently they sucked it up...big time. I got a check for $200. I just do not want to go through the hassle of fixing it, so I'll let someone else get a great deal for this dual g5 and they can fix it if they wish. That's why the price is so low. Even if it is fixed by the buyer, it is still a sweet deal. but this one is going to be shipped via FedEx for sure :-)

I just sold my Quad, but I'm already missing a desktop as a home base. I'll think about it tonight and if it's still there later this evening, I might pick this up to hold me over until the Intel towers come.

Why did you sell the Quad? Did you get a good price?

Yeah, $4k for it. I have a loaded MBP and a 17" one on the way, so I couldn't justify a $4000 machine sitting around collecting dust (I hadn't used it for what I bought it for in months...Motion, FCP rendering, heavy encoding) Just shipped it out today, but I'm already missing a home base/server. I can justify $1000 sitting around collecting dust. Too bad it won't run my 30". I'll have to unpack the 23" ACD I packed up today since I didn't have anything for it to plug into. Oh darn...
