Hello hello!

My sister's 20GB 4th Gen. iPod just bit the dust (HD failure), so I was wondering if anyone happened to have an iPod with a 20GB or larger HD that has a broken screen or some other non-HD issue. Alternatively (preferably?), does anyone have just a standalone but working iPod HD lying around? ~$100 shipped to Canada

If no one has what I'm looking for, I may be interested in buying an old working iPod. ~$150 shipped to Canada

There are places online selling 20GB iPod hard drives in the neighbourhood of $160USD, plus shipping, which would put me around $200CDN...just too much! I've also checked eBay, and I haven't found anything that fits exactly what I want for a decent price. Plus, I recently had a bad experience buying a used HD from eBay, so I'm sketched out at the moment. :o

Bloody Hell...how did I miss that??

Are you sure it would work in an iPod? I'm no expert on them, so I just want to make sure.

Ah, I thought there was something funny about their order forms...

Newegg.com does not offer International/Canadian shipping options at this time.

I'm still looking!

I have a 20gb drive that was pulled from a 4th gen iPod with a broken screen. I believe it is in perfect working condition. I can do $100 shipped to you in canada for it.

Thanks for the offer! If you can give me some sort of guarantee that it will work upon arrival (i.e., if it's broken, you give me back my money and I'll send it back to you while covering the shipping back), then you'd be high on my list of potentials.

If you want, I have a 10GB 2nd gen iPod and a 1st gen iPod laying around here... I think the 2nd Gen has some hard drive issues, but the 1st Gen has only a 5GB HD... but works great!

$70 each?

For under $100, someone here will probably order it for you and send it if you pay them....I would if I had a credit card, but I don't sorry. :(

That's actually not a bad idea...I'll keep that in mind when I make my decision. Thanks!

Thanks for the offer, but I'd like to stick with at least 20GB.

It passed the HDD diagnostic test, so it is good. let me know if you are still interested.

Thanks a lot! I'll get back to you via PM in the next few weeks if I'm interested (read: if my mom/sister gives me the money to buy it for her).
