3 months ago I have won a bid on eBay for a used PowerBook G4 667.
I have paid the guy, Dwayne White (From Chicago), through PayPal $1,260 (!!!) and never got the laptop or a refund!

First, he ignored all of my emails and after 3 weeks he wrote me a ************ story about how he got robbed.
I called him a few times and he told me that he is broke and can't pay me at the moment (like i care!).
Now, he is not responding to any calls or emails at all.

Beware of that Dwayne White!!!
His email address: hiendtrader@hotmail.com
and he lives in Chicago.

PayPal did not helped a bit and i know they are holding some money of his.

I know about an other guy with exactly the same story with the same crook, but he got his money back from PayPal...

I have decided that i'm not going to let him get away with it!
Any suggestions???

Hey...this wouldn't be the same guy that got arrested in Chicago a couple of months back for ripping off some college kid's PowerBook on eBay, would it? Apparently he had been scamming lots of people on eBay. The thief finally got caught after some mighty fine sleuthing on the part of the victim (with a little help from the Mac community after he posted his story on MacNN and Powerpage.org):
http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=134279

(Sorry, can't find the powerpage link...)

If it is...the reason why he's not getting back to you is because he's in jail.

*Edit*: here's the guys homepage with the blow by blow. He offers a number to call for any other potential victims of this crook at the bottom of the page:
