adding an internal cd drive

is there anything i need to know before going out and buying another [faster] burner for my dual 867 MDD?

is adding another drive to an apple special?
or will any drive work?

sorry if this is a lame question, but i just don't know.

I put the cheapest CD-RW drive I could find at CompUSA ($60 or so) in and it works fine through Toast and the Finder, but will not be recognized by iTunes.

$60.... my kind of price!
