A tentative Peace Treaty

Let's all work together to make the MacRumors gaming forums a
happy place once again.


Everybody quit using the word "Fanboy". Chances are you are
yourself if you feel compelled to use it.


Try to refrain from trash talking a console if you have nothing
constructive to add to a discussion. Don't repost that same
negativeargument again and again in every thread about that
console youdon't care much about.


The "A console shouldn't be that expensive." VS "If you were
a true gamer you should't mind forking that much" argument is
getting old. Skip it. The price of each console is as low as each
manufacturer can make it considering competitiveness VS profit.


Please copy/Paste one of the following in your sig and be done
with it. Stop spamming all threads with biased opinions about your
personal taste in console and why you're so great for worshipping it.

You're doing exactly what you're espousing against. Until this point you were on the right track but then you lowered yourself to the same level.

Here's my suggestion without belittling your fellow users: Report bad posts.

I report like crazy and you'd be surprised at the number of posts that I've had the mods delete or threads locked down.

That was meant as tongue in cheek to lighten the post. Looks like I missed the mark. It's hard to convey homor or irony in a forum post. ^_^ I wasn't really expecting people to take me seriously on this point. Uh-oh… I think I might have made a big boo-boo. :o

I've tried very hard to maintain an open and neutral stance in the console wars and I'm very sorry if I failed at that.

All are welcome to add to this list. Let's call it a peace treaty.

Also to ask people not to talk about the price of a game system is crazy, thats a HUGE part of many systems, if the Wii is under 200 i'll get no questions, and i'll never get a PS3 because it is too much money. I mean sony is become very pricey

I know what you mean. But I pesonally think arguing about price is a no-win situation. I guess it's still possible to discuss price in a civilized manner but thus far we've only been running in circles.
