question about power mac?

I just sold my 867 PB. I purchased the recently discontinued dual 1ghz powermac. I bought it for 1699, so I could not pass it up. I am just wondering how noticeable the speed increase will be. Has anyone recently made the switch that can provide some feedback? Or maybe someone has both set ups? Thanks!

The speedup is so dependent on the applications you normally run.

Some applications don't make much use of dual processors. Others do. If you only run one application at a time, then it is totally application dependent.

If you have several things always running (Mail, iCal, chat program, iTunes) along with whatever application you're actively using, then you should notice a nice improvement.
