as this is a feeler thought it would be good to post that.. that iBook 700Mhz is 350 shipped and it have a AirPort card built in(worth alone 100 easy) you might not get that much. Clealy less the 250 i would think
(his iBook have Combo Drive ,AirPort and new battery)
Such is the fact that intel Mac push older Mac resale value down alot
If you think what i said is hurting you sale PM and i will remove it. You could ebay still likly to lots there

No not at all, I wanted the truth. The thing is, clamshells I would think tend to retain their value due to their unique shape, and the fact that there is nothing else out there like them, thats what attracted me to it anyway ;) The battery is good for an older machine, it usually gets about 1 1/2 hrs. to 1 hr. of battery life. I was looking to get around 200+ actual shipping costs but I figured I'd see what you guys had to say.
here is a picture of it:

I take it this doesn't have an Airport card? Could we get a few more flash photos? If you decide to sell, are you interested in a trade? Thanks.

I'm not interested in a trade, because I need the cash to get another apple notebook. No, this does not include a Airport, because I'm keeping it for the laptop that I intend to get with the money from this. It really is a great notebook, but as I've said I need to sell it to upgrade to an even better apple notebook. :D

It has neither, and I wouldn't accept a bid that low anyway.

well what do you expect? its a 366 G3 for crying out loud, that translates into "slow and getting slower by the day". you could prolly get $150-200 for this but thats a very generous range provided there isnt an airport in it

Well, these are just beginning to become collectors items, yet they are still very usable. This can get over 240 easily on ebay, especially with the upgraded hard drive (from 6GB) and Tiger, but I wanted to sell it to a member of the MacRumors community, whom I trust.

I think your overreaching a bit. You'll do better to sell it on eBay if you can get that price there. I doubt any of us here would pay that.
Good luck man

As I said before, the price I'm looking for on here is 200, shipped to anywhere in the CONUS. I would hope that I could sell it to someone on the macrumors forums. If I can't, then thats a shame, but I would like to do that.

Oh darn. Thats the last thing I need for my iBook. Oh well. ^.^
I guess it can wait with 384 just a little while longer.

Do you have any more RAM for it? I just sold a tangerine with lower specs for $200, so this is not a bad deal.

Ok, so lets do the math here, starting from whatever you thought it is worth:
A) NO airport card -$110
B) 2/3 dead battery -$80
C) No FW -$40
D) No combo drive -$40
E) Ding/dent in top, stress cracks near hinges top & bottom -$50
F) Minimal ram -$50
Numbers are based on estimated/approximate costs of these items if purchased seperately
OS is irrelavant, (unless you are including the disks) since anyone who has a copy already can/most likely would install it anyways. Same for HD, since the difference between 6 & 10gb is nominal at best. Tiger will easily fit on either notta problemo
Total: <$370>
lets work from there, shall we ?

I am kind of getting sick of posts like this. First of all, you cannot GET a combo drive for these machines without physically modifying one to fit, they only came with DVD and CD drives. The price I'm looking for, as im_to_hyper has thankfully backed me up on, is VERY reasonable for an iBook SE (Special Edition). Also, you cannot without a hack install Tiger on this notebook, but what I will be doing is transplanting a hard drive (not an easy task in the least) that I will be installing a fresh copy of Tiger on with my other mac, so that there is NO hacks involved. There are obviously people interested, and I dislike this kind of garbage in my thread. Thank you.
