I have up for grabs an Acer Pentium III Travelmate. It is in full working condition and is quite speedy, it is running Windows XP.
It currently has :
Intel Pentium III 850 MHz - Expandable to 1 GHz
192 MB of PC100 RAM (1x128, 1x64) - Expandable to 1 GB using 2 16-chip 512MB SO-DIMMs
20 GB IBM Travelstar 4200RPM Hard Disk - Expandable to any 2.5" ATA/100 Hard Disk
8x Toshiba DVD-ROM - Expandable to Superdrive
8MB Rage Mobility - Same chipset inside of the 500 MHz iBooks
Windows XP Professional
14" 1024x768 TFT LCD screen, no dead pixels.
About 7 pounds, 1.6" thick.
I also can throw in an extra LCD panel for this model, and keyboard, as I have a nice pile of spares.
It includes the AC adapter and one dead battery.
Best offer gets it. For trades, I'm looking for :
Sony PSPs, iPods, AGP PC video cards BETTER than a 9800XT, LARGE hard disks (either 2 250GB models or one 400GB+), DDR RAM, modded PS2s, Gamecubes, Xboxes, LCDs, AGP G4 towers, anything for G4 towers, iBooks, Powerbooks, etc.
Will entertain ANY offer. And I do mean any, can do lets say, a Nintendo DS and some cash. Can do partial trades. All cash must be in MO format, I do not have nor trust Paypal after a guy screwed me out of a Playstation 2 and they didnt do ANYTHING.
I'm looking to get around 240-250 shipped for this machine, or a trade for around its value.
FYI - From now on, I ship after I receive the item if its a trade. I got rather burned on a trade I made for a AGP G4 tower, it arrived beat up, with a power supply in it that was marked DEAD, when I was told it worked beautifully. o.O I apolgize if this is an inconvenice, but I will not troll you. So dont worry, I have done LOTS of stuff with many people on these forums, inclduing mlrproducts below me, California, Onizuka, and many more, so many, that I've forgotten a lot. I also have eBay refs under darklost112.
I do physically have the laptop, as I actually got around 8 of these in a college surplus sale, and this one is an extra. I sold/gave to my family the other 5 working ones. These suckers last very well, and are very upgradeable, and quite nice and speedy. Depending on the offer, I will toss in an EXTRA LCD panel/casing/hinges, and an extra keyboard, which are the 2 most common broken parts on laptop computers.
