applecare registration question

I have just purchased applecare for my 12inch. I also purchased applecare. I have a couple of ?'s. I have a 15" apple lcd as well, that I had previously purchased.
-Though it wasnt purchased at the same time as the 12" albook can I still register it under the applecare?
-also I am away on business right now while the monitor is on my desk at home, can I register the applecare for the powerbook now, then add the display when I get home next week?

i think the way it works is that you can claim things like monitors and ipods as accessories to the main computer ONLY if they are on the same receipt...
