New scanners soon?

I've been wanting to get a scanner, particularly the Epson Perfection 2450, but I can't seem to find anyone with them in stock. Are they being discontinued or is something new about to come out?

yea they are soon to be replaced by a even higher resolution one that looks exactly the same. its out in europe right now.
if u want the 2450, go to ebay. its refurbished but at least u get it and you save.

i have it at school and its very good :)
