I've got a 17" iMac G5 (will post pictures tonight) that I want to trade for a modular Mac. The 1440x900 screen size is pretty spacious, but not really enough for me. I've got a 20" LCD panel that does 1680x1050 (much more excellent) so I just need a Mac to go with it. I'd prefer a dual G4, single lower-end G5, or something similar. I'd also go for a PPC laptop if it supports lid-closed mode and comes with the adapters in question. I'd considered going with a MacBook in clamshell mode while I'm at my desk, but I don't want to run Rosetta if I can avoid it and I don't really like the idea of memory being stolen by the GPU. So Intel is out for now.

I don't have PayPal but I'm willing to do escrow.com's escrow service. Now here's the specs:

1.8GHz G5 rev 2
Radeon 9600 w/128MB VRAM
17" LCD with no marks or dead/stuck pixels
250GB hard drive
1GB memory
AE/BT2.0

Here's the big cool thing, I think: AppleCare until May 2008. I've got all the paperwork and the purchase receipt, so it's easy to transfer AppleCare to you. Comes with Apple-branded wired keyboard/mouse, Tiger DVD's and the TechTool Deluxe CD.

I've also got an iBook G3 366MHz with 576MB RAM, 10GB HDD, CD-ROM, and an airport card. Indigo in color. I can throw that in to help sway you if you have a machine of higher value than mine.

If you just want to buy it rather than trade for it, I'd say $950 shipped is fair given the existence of AC, the huge hard drive, and the upgraded RAM.

I'll put up pics tonight. PM me with offers.

ComboDrive or SuperDrive?

Oh, duh...I forgot to mention it's a combo drive.

4JNA and I have a trade worked out. If that status changes, I will be sure to let you know.

Sent 4JNA a PM with his tracking number. :)

Since 4JNA has gotten a tracking number for the item, that means it has been shipped. So yes.

On a side note, I have done a deal with 4JNA in the recent past, and he was a great buyer. Just thought I would throw that out there.
