I bought WoW and played for several months. I still have the 10 day guest pass if anyone can use it. It is for the EU servers.

People keep telling me I need to check this game out cause it's supposed to be really awesome... Do I need a CD or anything to use this or when you login with the pass can you download the app to play it?

You need the CD or DVD media to install the game. The friend passes really are intended to be given to friends due to this limitation.

I believe any current WoW players can get unlimited 10-day passes to give to their friends via the web site anyway... at least in the U.S.

SilentPanda is right, you need to have the discs to install. Though you don't need the discs to play, so you can just borrow anybody's discs for installing the game.

If you are the UK I can mail you the discs if you want. I'm about to move back to the US, so if I start playing again I'll have to buy another copy to play on the US servers. Which means I have no use for the discs.

I'll warn you though that I bought the game last September and there have been a lot of updates since then. Last time I reinstalled I had to download well over a gig in patches.

I also agree you need to check out the game, becasue it IS really awesome. :)
