What services will it work under? Verizon? Cingular?

It is compatible with US/Canada GSM 1900 networks.

T-Mobile is 1900, definatley. I'm not sure about others - but its a Tri Band phone. So anything on the 900/1800/1900 GSM networks will work fine.

It won't work well on cingular because they're 850

I would also post an AD on howardforums, lots of people in the market for a nice phone over there!

Edit: I'm not allowed to post in the Marketplace, and I'm certainly not posting 100 times to gain access, lol.

Another question that you might get asked is whether it's locked to any particular UK network (or branded by it?)

I would be tempted but I'm due an upgrade in August anyhow ;)

I used the phone on Orange, therefore it has my Orange GPRS and MMS settings - but these can be changed to whatever SIM is used in the phone.

It is unlocked.

That really depends on where you live.

I'm in Los Angeles with a K750i (same phone) and cingular and have absolutely no problems at all.

There is plenty of 1900 floating around to keep my happy.

Isn't the k750i quad-band? I bought the w800i at the Sony store when it was released last August and it was horrible on Cingular.

I had to sell it a couple of weeks later. :(

No, the K750i is tri-band, only the W810i is quad-band which will be coming out later this year on Cingular's network.

Its a really good phone, had it for a little bit now, and I recommend it to everyone ... but the k750i was good too!
