In Dec i had a xfiles craze and I bought a DVD set off of ebay of the X-Files season 1-9. the sellers location said detroit michigan but when i got it it was an asian collectors edition but everything still played in english. I then used handbrake to patiently convert 198 episodes to ipod ready h.264 for my video ipod. each file is about 43-48 min long, and about 200-215 mb. all shows total is 198 shows, 6 days 4 hours 7 min and 29 seconds, and 39.37 GB for all shows. they are formated as H.264 Decoder, 320 x 240, Millions
AAC, Stereo (L R), 44.100 kHz

they are also all tagged correctly with the episode number, show title, season number, so all you have to do is put them in itunes and they will play in the order they originally aired. the dvd's also contain the normal extras, directors cuts stuff etc. those are not ipod ready but all the episodes are.

I bought them when i had a job with LOTS of free time, as long as machines ran good I had time to kill. Well jobs like that dont last forever:) I now work a normal job. I got to watch the first season and a few in season two and that was it and now have no time to watch them any more.

i will not sell the ipod formats sepretly, but whoever buys the dvd set will also get the ipod version too. the dvd's will be in the x-files box they came in along with 9 burned dvd's and 1 burned cd containing the ipod versions.

considering the number of episodes and the LOADS OF TIME i spent converting them (everynight on 3rd shift the powermac labored for a few months) i think $400 shipped is a fair deal. $2 per show, hey, its worked for apple so maybe it will for me to!

Click here to see a pdf outputed by itunes showing that the files are legitimate and the details for each showhttp://preachertony.com/4sell/xfiles.pdf

and before someone ask, yes i did use the '2 pass encoding' in handbrake. it doubled the time to convert all of them but it makes the quality better.

they are all 320 x 240 except for when the newer ones were produced in widescreen. those are 320 x 176.

any ?'s just ask

Ha, last year I bought the same "Asian Collectors Edition" off of ebay. I'll vouch for the DVDs, they all worked...however, you should realize that you are most likely buying pirated DVDs.
