Are you afraid of spiders?

I was just reading this article (http://science.howstuffworks.com/spider.htm) on spiders and it is really freaky. The looks of spiders are just disgusting and ugly! I'm not that afraid of spiders, but I think I'd be better off keeping my distance from them.

How about you? Are you afraid of spiders?

spiders = very super scary.

my second biggest phobia right behind snakes. ohhhhhh spiders and snakes, just thinking about them is scaring me big time.

i once knew this person who had this computer they never cleaned and once they took it to best buy or fry's or something to upgrade the memory and the guts of the PC was totally covered in spiders and spider webs.
Eewww. Most spiders are cool, it's just those dangerous ones I hate.

I've seen computers like that. At work and at school we have a lot of older PCs and the spiders seem to like the inside. Never found any actual spiders, but I've found plenty of spiderwebs.

Yes, but daddy long legs are not spiders; they're insects. This is a common misconception. :p

There are tons of black widows down here. Like TONS in the summer. They're deadly too, and they scare the **** out of me. Me and my dad go out about once every two weeks at night with a flashlight and a can of raid, and kill all that we can find. Usually about 25 in one night.

And by our built in bar b q, there is a little space between it and the brick. There have been whole black widow hatches there. You can see like 200 baby blackwidows just chilling on this web, but then you spray em with raid and they're gone.

UGHHHHHHHH!!!!! I have arachnaphobia. Spiders freak me out.

I don't mind snakes, bees, and most other insects (I know a snake
is not an insect), but spiders and roaches freak me out big time.

I once jumped out of the shower and ran up to my room when I
looked down and there was a roach next to my foot. Yes, I was
naked. I think roaches freak me out more than spiders, but just
because they are (in most cases) faster. :p

spiders and roaches both freak me out big time. little ****ers always messed with me... i used to live in a big victorian house with picture rails by the ceiling, which left about a 1/4" space, and we had these little spiders that looked kind of like crabs, freaky, they'd crawl along the ceiling and then duck behind the rails whenever i tried to kill them.

once i woke up and there were like three of them on my legs, biting me. i must have smelled like enemy or food or something. *shudder* little bastards hurt.

big stationary roaches don't bother me (like at the zoo) but when they're moving around really fast, hiding places i just wanna ****...

there were these spider type things in africa that would flatten themselves out on the wall... and stay really still. and then just randomly shoot off the wall and fly across to another wall... try getting to sleep knowing those bastards are in the room

I was afraid of spiders until my 1st year of college; there was this guy who earned a .2 GPA first semester and kind of lost it. He was ingesting lots of... substances and got paranoid and thought there were spiders all over his room when the lights went out. He bug bombed his tiny room with the windows shut, which only made things worse.

Somehow it made me take the whole spider threat less seriously.

Got nothing against them myself, I think a spiderweb in a morning frost is one of the most amazing things on earth, still, I'll not spend too much time with the deadly ones if it's all the same to you.

I pity the Australians, most of their insect life seems to be deadly, massive or both:)
