View Full Version : How do you become a member?

My question is simple... How do you become a member or a regular??? I have been posting longer than some, and it leaves me quite curious...

macrumors.com is my fave mac info site, and one of the reasons is everything is so easy to find. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but i havent found anything talking about membership.

I am sick of being a newbie :)

Thanks for your help.

30 posts ->member
100 posts -> regular

there are a bunch of threads that go more in depth, just do a simple search.

FYI, neffing (posting pointlessly just to boost yer post count) is frowned upon here. :)

Honestly, I am not posting this time to increase my count. Sorry guys, I did not know this was the case. I was just kidding around.

:o

don't worry about it. this has had a lot of negative opinion lately, everyone gets yelled at :)

i've always found that if you really look around the forum, there's a lot of subjects to offer opinions to.

like this one :D

i just bought demi-god status, so my post count doesn't matter anymore. you might look into it... it's a good cause...

How should one go about buying Demi-God status?

If one wants to donate, how and where is it done? I found the store site, but saw nothing about donations.

I was just looking at the top posters list, and I saw that AlphaTech's name was on there. What happened to him? Did he "retire" from MacRumors.

So like, quality of a post is considered or not? 30 posts is all that's required to "graduate" to member/regular?

No. The content of your post has nothing to do with it.

Quality over quantity is a concept that I'm sure alot of people here share similar views on.

MUG and donation system will be reannounced soon. Basically, the MUG is outdated, but I haven't had a chance to update it.

I'll post details (hopefully) soonish.

That's good. I didn't want a second mug identical to the first one, and i've a feeling it's coming up to paying time again.

Could always just go for a macrumors thong though, eh? ;)
