OK ok, I've never owned an xbox or a 360. I'm thinking about getting a 360 soon. My question is, can I use the xbox live stuff while overseas? I'll be in China for about a year starting in Aug and I don't think I'd want to get one if I couldn't use the online features. Thanks.

If it was any other country, I would say, no worries, go for it, but being china, you'll have to find out if the government aren't blocking xbox live, I don't see why they would, but they might. Otherwise, you should check what tv signal they use, and the voltage, unless you'll run it on a hdtv, in which case the tv signal is irrelevant. About the voltage, they probably use 220v so all you'll need is a step down converter and you are set.

The 360 doesn't have a 110~240 PSU?
I used an American PS2 on my regular TV over there and it worked fine.

Hi, have you bought xbox 360 yet? I will get my brand new xbox 360
on July 13th, but it has 220V power supply, I was wondering if you would
be interested in swapping yours?

The chinese govt. filters most forms of electronic communications, and bans everything related to "freedom". Could a network primarily used in the heart of the free world be banned or limited? Certainly. I'd proceed with caution.
Then again, isn't it the chinese that puts these things together?
