I am considering selling my baby for college tuition for the fall :( Any thoughts on pricing/demand for the following?
15" PowerBook G4
2.0Ghz G4 Daystar upgrade (recent)
1gb RAM
128mb Radeon 9600
100gb 7200RPM drive (recent)
Newertech battery (recent)
8x SuperDrive dual layer upgrade (recent)
Quickertek Handle thingamajig
Backlit keyboard
Its in awesome shape considering how I've used the snot out of it. I only spot 2 cosmetic blemishes...a small dent in the lid (have to look at an angle to see) and a small crack in one of the keys in the keyboard, approximately less than 1/8" of an inch long on the corner of the V key?
I've got some other computer equipment I can sell too (recent Toshiba laptop, couple of Dell slim-profile desktops), I am hoping to raise about $2300.
Any thoughts?

wow, did you spend over a grand on just the recent upgrades? I didn't even know you could get a 2Ghz G4, let alone a 2Ghz in a powerbook! How does it perform?
Also, how is the quickertek handle, looks pretty cool, Does it go well with the machine? I've never seen one installed before.

Hi
So, this is the first Al 15"? apple-history.com :: PowerBook G4 (15" FireWire 800) (http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=pg4_15_800&performa=off&sort=date&order=ASC)
Some pretty impressive upgrading.
I'll get it out of the way before you hear it from others...Photos would really help.

Thanks for the reply MacCheetah and Maxwell.
I believe its this one (http://www.apple-history.com/body.php?page=gallery&model=pg4_15167&performa=off&sort=processor&order=ASC). It was the first revision, when the 128mb Radeon 9700 was BTO and the 1.5Ghz just came out.
I forgot to mention I also have 2 reasonably new power adapters as well (I seem to wear these out for some reason no matter how careful I am....they become loose in the socket.......my friend's iBook was the same way). I also have iLife 06 and iWork 05.
I really like the handle. At first I was skeptical, but the carrying part is very handy. When its folded over it props the rear up just enough to allow the heat to dissapate a little better and make typing just a tad more comfortable.
I felt a signifigant difference in speed after all the upgrades. I do a lot of video projects and it had a signifigant impact on that; I wish I had more forethought to do some before and after benchmarking. I'm not sure which affected the speed more....the hard drive or the processor. I usually use a PowerMac for video stuff, but recently I had the need to go mobile and carrying around an 80lb PowerMac doesn't seem like fun; upgrading my PowerBook seemed like a logical step and it was worth it. I've used a new MacBook and its pretty hard to tell whats faster in plain OS operation.....it would be interesting to see how well it stacks up. Anything that uses Rosetta though (Photoshop) plainly runs circles around the MacBook on this upgraded G4.
Some impromptu photos.
A bit fuzzy, but you can make out the crack on the V key. Its really small. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0111.JPG)
The lid. You can see the small dent to the right of the Apple logo, that is the worst angle. You can't really feel it running your finger over it, so its all cosmetic. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0112.JPG)
Daystar's sticker. I think it adds 10 extra mhz, like the stickers on Hondas do for horsepower. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0113.JPG) :p
A side shot. You can see how the handle props up the rear of the laptop. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0114.JPG)
I would have showed a better sample of the handle, but I didn't want to interupt my render to close the lid. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0115.JPG)
The beast itself. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0116.JPG)
The obligatory Anna Popplewell background. (http://www.chrislincoln.com/IMG_0117.JPG)

Oh yeah, the upgrade cost. I'd have to go back into my records, but I think somewhere around a thousand was about right??
