View Full Version : How do I find someones phone number?

macgeek2005

Okay, I know this person... and she challenged me to find her phone number. She's not in the phone books, I called directory assistance, I looked in the white pages online.... I looked in the People widget in dashboard, and she was there with her address, but no phone number.

She challenged me to find it... so i'm not doing anything dishonest or rude by looking for it. But I don't know what else to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ask one of her friends.

They don't know it either.

When she leaves her mobile on the table to go to the bar/toilet/whatever, quickly call your mobile from it and voila - you have her number.

But he knows the secret which is what is confusing me here.

How can someone that knows the secret not find out someone's phone number easily?

Maybe she stole the secret and he's trying to get it back.

So, let me get this straight...
She supposedly "challenged" you to find her number. None of her friends have it? You feel it necessary to assure us that you aren't doing anything wrong here?

My opinion: You're full of **** and up to no good.

Okay. I met her online in a match of Call of Duty. She lives miles away. I want to make sure that she's not a 50 year old stalker, so I asked if I could call her. She challenged me to find her number.

Simple.

She lives in Texas, I live in Washington state... okay? Now are you gonna help me find her number or not?

Make sure she is not a big nasty looking he...remember some women have deep voice too;)
Use your yellow page widget(set it to where she lives)....but if she didn't give you her number right there then maybe she don't want you to have it....or maybe she just want you to work.

Somehow, I think thats a REALLY bad idea. He has no idea who this person is, or what their intentions are.

Have you tried googling her full name or e-mail address? Although, to be honest... it might not be accessible by internet means. For instance, when I googled my phone number in a variety of formats, I could not find it. I'm not really sure it's available on the internet.

So I'm not sure of non-dishonest ways to get it if you can't find her through any of the methods you tried. Of course, you could hire a private investigator! ;)

But seriously... if this is a big deal to you, like if your friendship predicates itself on this knowledge, I would, in your shoes, let her know that, directly, and give her the choice of either giving you the information you want or discontinuing contact.

Son, sit down, I need to talk to you.
Sometimes you just have accept that a girl doesn't like you.
Stalking her wont make her like you. In fact, she'll most likely file criminal charges and you'll get slapped with a Harassment Restraining Order (HRO).
There's plenty of fish in the sea.

*cough* *Looks over shoulder*

Yeah.... Anyway.
This is a creepy thread.
Yeah.
Has myspace taught you anything?

Im just kinda kidding.

DUDE. CHILL. I'm not ****ing interested in a romantic relationship.

What's your guyses problmes???

We've been talking online for the last couple days, and we've had fun talking to each other. We seem to kind of get along. She's 3 years older than me, we're not thinking about a relationship, or anything like that.

We both know we'll never see each other in person....

This is nothing serious. She just gave me a friendly challenge to find her ****ing number.

Jeeesh, sorry for getting ticked off, but you guys are rediculous.

Very true. I, however, have had nothing but good experiences with meeting someone I met online in person. Everyone was who they claimed to be in every way, but then again, I consider myself lucky to an extent because of this. I've heard plenty of horror stories, but I've always felt a slight sense of comfort in knowing that I am a male and more than capable of defending myself in most situations. Let's just hope this chick isn't some 350lb body-builder with a fetish for small, awkward young boys.

Me too! I have two online friends and I actually went to meet them in person this past February. It was great fun!
