I'm interested in trading my 5g white 30 gig iPod for an older 3g or 4g model. I've never taken advantage of the video or photo functions, and while they seem cool, I really have no use for them. I've been absolutely terrified that I might scratch it and really haven't used it as much as I'd like to because of that.
I'm interested in trading it for a used but still well cared for third or fourth generation model plus some cash or another mac related item. Good battery life is my biggest concern.
My iPod was purchased in december of last year from the apple store. I haven't bought apple care for it yet, but it is still eligable, so I think you could buy it if you wanted it.
It was immediatly put in one of those Agent 13 plastic cases. I got paranoid that dust inside the case was going to scratch the screen so I switched over to a rubber one. What ever the case (ha... case, oh boy) its mostly scratch free. See the pictures. The screen has some scratches but they are only visible at a certain angle and can't be easilly photographed. I think they are more like scuff marks then scratches, but I haven't tried removing them. The back has the usual iPod scratches, only one of which is some what major.
Let me know if you're interested. I'd also accept a cash offer in which case I'll just buy a referb from apple.
