No CD crack homeworld 2?

I was moving my desk and acidetally pulverized disk num 2 for my coppy of homeworld 2. I've herd that it is not actually illegal to download a no cd crack for a game as long as you actually own the game. So can I get something that allows me to keep playing my game without breaking any laws?

I dont even really know what a no cd crack is do you need your cd in the first place to make one?

Sometimes if you contact the game company they will allow you for a small fee to swap your broken disc for a new one. Check with them. No-CD cracks are a no-no on these boards.
