... should they be this bad? I mean I really have to push down for a diagonal on the dpad. and I've accidentally let off a few fireballs in New Mario whilst trying to maintain the running speed.

Might be doing a return tomorrow if my DS is faulty :o

they should feel nice and spongey it's like having an entirely new console. i love mine.

my controls are smooth. not like with the psp where it will take some time to get used to. The DS Lite is like a good broken in baseball glove. Ready to use from the first time you turn it on. There is no breaking it in process.

Do you know anybody else with a DS you could try and compare?

Mine feels great. Better than my original DS. They could have been a little more spaced but I got used to the layout now. I still accidently expend my power bombs while playing Metroid Pinball every now and then.

At least, those A-B-X-Y buttons won't be used in our Metroid match tonight ;)

yea looks like I'll be going back into town tomorrow then :( i really have to use force when trying to press up+right. I mean it feels not right.
