Wouldn't you have to either:
Plan A:
o---> AirPort ===> Mac
Modem ---> Router -----|
o---> 360
Plan B:
o===> Mac
Modem ---> AirPort ===>|
o===> 360 Wi-Fi Adaptor ---> 360
---> = Wired
===> = Wireless
I'm no expert so I might be wrong.
That's the 360 Wi-Fi adaptor: Link (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B6MLV4/102-8016866-0330553?v=glance&n=468642)

You need to enable internet connection sharing on your Mac. Also, you need to manually set up the Xbox's IP Address, it doesn't get it automatically for some reason.

So it's possible to use the unused ethernet port of a mac to "broadcast" the connection? Good to know. I might use that in other setups :)

Yes, it's not very intuitive with an Xbox, but it's useful for times when you're missing a Wi-Fi adapter and you can't move your router ;)

For the Xbox it's just any valid address, try 192.168.2.20...
Ok, here are the full steps, they might be innacurate because I don't have a 360 with me right now:
- If your Mac is old make sure you're using a crossover cable.
-Turn on internet connection sharing and select Share your connection from: Airport
-Configure your ethernet connection as follows:
*DHCP with manual address
*IP Address: 192.168.2.1 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
*dns: the IP Address acquired by your airport card
-Configure your 360:
*IP Address: 192.168.2.20 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
*Gateway address: Mac's ethernet address (192.168.2.1)
-Pray
I hope this helps, it might get a little more complicated depending on your setup.

Make sure you add the airport card's IP Address to the ethernet card's DNS address list and that the Xbox's gateway address is the same as your ethernet card's address. You could also add the ethernet card's address to the Xbox's DNS address list (or the airport card's address if that fails). I'm not that good at networking so I'm not sure (I got it working because I'm good at fiddling with stuff).
Also, you can open a terminal window and use the ping command to see if the machines are actually communicating. Type ping 192.168.2.20
