A G4 800 for 800 Euros!

Look at these AmigaOne systems, they are very cheap and the top end one has a G4 800 (7451) in it. Now we know that the CPU's aren't what jacks up the price.

And if you read the webpage, the 800 Euro's is a system board only. you need to add:
Case
Power Supply
Memory
Optical Drive
Hard Drive
Keyboard
Mouse
Operating System

This doesn't sound like it is that inexpensive to me.

you are porbably right, they aren't really cheap. the G4 800 costs 1399 pounds.

Yikes, that is expensive, considering what you get.
Linux as the OS, no firewire, but you DO get an optical wireless rechargeable mouse!

With the Mac you get gigabit ethernet, firewire, a faster G4 processor, OS X, Apple's iApps and such... personally, a lot more for you money. The G4 processors aren't cheap, but your not just buying a box, your buying a lot more. Just look at all the free stuff Apple gives us.. pretty good deal.
