View Full Version : WOW GUI differences: Mac vs. Windows

Are there differences between the WOW GUIs for Mac and Windows? For instance, I don't have any tabs on my scrolling chat window. Do other Mac users have the same experience? Other WOW players (who I assume are Windozers) say they have tabs on the chat window; clicking these tabs allows them to set all kinds of chat options, such as assigning colors to chat channels or even translating text into fictional WOW languages. Is there any way I can do this from the Mac GUI?

If you turned on "simple chat" you lose the tabs and just have chat on the left and game log on the right. THat's the same in both OS's. The UI is the same, and you can have tabs if you don't have simple chat.

Tremendous thanks. I was able to get this feature working by fiddling with the interface settings. It turned out to be more than just the "simple chat" setting, but your help got me into the right ballpark.
