Battlefield 2 Troubles (v1.3 Patch questions) [Archive]

I'm pretty sure this thread belongs here rather than the windows Forum. OK so i went out and bought Battlefield 2 today because i was tired of the demo and decided it was worth the $40. OK so i have Version 1.03 right? and there is all this talk about upgrading to Version 1.3. How do i do that? i searched on google and all i got was those stupid sites like FilePlanet(amongst others) that make you log in/download crap applications/PAY!!!! to download a PATCH!!!! i was like what the ****??? ok anyways, does anyone here have a good place to downlaod this Patch?

Yea 1.3 has had a lot of complaints and you should be happy to hear that 1.4 is at beta status and is almost arriving.

FileFront will have it most likely. They have public servers with rarely any wait time. It is like 300 kb/s cap. Trust me if i ever download a patch I always get it from FileFront. they are the best.

One more thing, what do these updates/patches actually do?
