I was just checking out Amazon.com, and I noticed that The Legend of Zelda is now rated M. Is this true?

It shouldn't be. There's no blood, probably no swearing and certainly no nudity.

they must have envisaged some sort of escort drag-queen with "twilight princess".

I'm betting that is a placeholder for the real rating...The Nintendo site shows Zelda as rating pending. I can't imagine a Zelda game being rated over T if not E. If they get an M rating for cartoon violence or something then they should just go ahead and throw in some drugs and hookers and make it Zelda: Vice City..

I didn't think he was capable. Although I would buy a Wii just for LoZ: San Andreas

It...can't be. Just can't.

Looks like it's a placeholder image someone whipped up. The info says underneath "Rating Pending" on the actual Amazon page.

It'll be T for more realistic violence, I suspect. Surely not M.

I'm sure Link can accomplish some very suggestive actions with the hookers in Zelda: Vice City with the Wii controller.

The M rating is only for the GameCube version (as seen in the above box artwork). The content is the same as the Wii version, but the rating reflects the violence that will ensue when kids find out their parents bought it instead of the Wii version.

Actually, I doubt the kids would care. I see kids wanting GBAs all the time when there are shiny new DS Lites right next to them. Most parents are more than happy not to shell out for a new system the kids don't know exist. Also, I see some parents telling their kids that they can have 2 new games for their existing console or a new console and one new game. A lot of kids would choose the 2 games because there is more instant gratification and the parents save a few bucks...

After a certain age though materialism kicks in and the older kids will want the wii on launch. Then again, the parents may just be happy if they don't want one of the more expensive consoles.

It's because of all the Tingle nudity in the game.

See, that's something I never understood- as a child, I was the only kid on the block who would rather have two cookies in ten minutes than one cookie immediately.
But most kids are like that, yeah.

Only in my dreams, would Nintendo break the 'sequel formula' of lackluster 3D Zelda games, and give me a truly epic and violent adventure with a new (good / fun / diverse) combat system and all kinds of bloody decapitations and impalements. Plus, the ability to whip my horse rather than feeding it carrots.

Alas, no.

No realistic violence in Zelda games. Unless you count the ending to 'OoT' - that rocked, sooooo much.

Oh, and in 'Link's Awakening', you could blow chickens up. That was awesome.

All of this talk about Tingle gettting "jiggy" is bothering me very much. I dont think that zelda is gonna an M or T rating. At most E10 is what i think it will be. And NO TINGLE GETTING "jiggy" PLEASE:p

Oh no! You didn't go there. What a horrible, horrible thing to say.

Oh come on.

Anyway, back on topic, there's no way that it could get an M rating.
