most of the time i like the keanu reeves look from "speed" or a little longer
from what i can gather, either he or brad pitt brought back the super short look with the obligatory baseball hat

ibookin'@mwny needs a haircut. he has this pic of himself from a long time ago where his hair was so long...messy brown wavy hair that grew past his shoulders :p
my hair on the other hand is somewhat wavy, dark brown, kinda long-halfway down my back or so.
right now however i'm thinking of getting a haircut. i want short wavy black hair.

short...
I throw a little gel or whatever in it...spruce it up a bit...and that's it...
sometimes I'm told I look like I just got out of bed...other times it's a bit spikey-ish... ;)

Black hair shaved on the sides, short and blonde on the top with gel (Redken # 12) most of the time.
black/brown cut short.
occasionally use a little gel.
nothing special.

My hairstyle would have to be described as shaggy. I haven't had a hair-cut since mid-december last year, and don't intend to till the summer. I have a parting down the left, with hair flopping down either side.
Oh yes, i also dye my hair blonde.

Mine is really old fashion. It is called a Princeton. My dad, grandpa, and brother, and I all get it. Most of us go Ralph Myers barbershop. My brother would be an exception.....he lives in Boston and can't go there. Since I have moved a lot, I have had to tell people and show people how do a Princeton.......I don't care for hairstyles where the hair is combed to the side or is spiked or the like......I want short, simple, and easy to deal with hair. I rarely comb my hair. I just shower it the morning and the hair is always where it should be.....that's the nice thing about a princeton......the hair is tapered so that don't really need to comb it to make sure it stays in place or in line.
I can't use hairsprays, hairjells, and etc because they contain irritants that are cross-allergen agents and can cause me a lot of trouble with my upper respiratory system. That is another reason the Princeton works so well for me.

A baldness induced no. 2 crop, makes me look very menacing.
Used to have the big pony tail thing going on in the eighties;)
A balding men should do the decent thing and shave it off...

I've always had my haircut on the short side. My part is on the left. I don't use any gel. Get my haircut when it no longer likes nice after being combed, usually about 6 weeks.

Hell, I'll just post a picture.

Can we have more stupid threads like this???
Come on people, one thing is to have a silly topic and another one is to start making them one afte the other.
What kind of shoes are you wearing?
Do you use sun glasses?
How cold is right now where you are?
How many dogs/cats do you have?
Are you racist?
etc, etc, etc...
give me a breake!
If you feel like to write something and do not have really what to, just do not do it!

I think we have kind of run out of things to talk about... so we
have resorted to poop threads, hair threads, and geek threads.
But in the end, they are all one and the same.... well, not really
but I thought it would sound nice if I added that. ;):D

As far as the hair, yes I have hair on my head and it definitely is not styled - can't stand going to the fruity boutiques, the smell makes my allergies erupt.

I agree. This is community discussion, it isn't meant to be
serious discussions over important topics (although it can be).
It is meant for people who want to get to know the MR community.
Whether that's in a thread about geeks, or a thread about the
morality of abortion, it doesn't matter. It is still people just trying
to get to know other people.

at one time, all non mac topics fell under general discussion, but then this section was a spinoff of that
then the political threads spun off of these community discussions

I used to have a pony (just below my shoulder blades) w/my head shaved on the sides and back. But that got whacked off last summer and sent to locks of love.
Currently my hair is 'bout 2-3" long and dyed jet black w/colored highlights (the highlights change every few weeks but have been red, dark red, purple, blue, and green so far).

I'll put it this way: about 5 months ago, I cut 8 inches off, and still have the longest hair of anyone I know, including my girlfriend and my mother.
It's about down to the end of my shoulder blades.
I've had long hair forever. In eighth grade I lost a bet to my dad, and cut it off. I *hated* it. I never looked back, and it's been long ever since.
I'm also a guitar player (tough to guess, huh?), and there's no way you can look bad-ass on stage with short hair (But Trey Gunn does come pretty close...). Plus, everyone says I have great hair, which is a great thing, of course (it's all about the citre shine, baby!)

I think a guitar player with a shaved head could be bad-ass-y. ;)
