I just bought mine this evening... here it is!

So far I have two games: Super Mario 64 DS & Mario Kart DS
Tomorrow morning on my way into work I'm DEFINITELY buying Kirby & Brain Age

Sorry not a very good picture...I didn't have time to take a good one (my camera was running out of batteries)....The GBA games in the picture are FFT, Shining Force, and River City Ransom.

2 here, the DS Lite and games, and a shot of my handheld collection barring the DS games.

Handheld gaming... my only vice :p

not all of my GBA and GB games are there. I'm missing Zelda GB and the ol' girlfriends got my Castlevania GBA games. and for some reason my Mario Bros NES Classic isn't there either!

That's my collection 'so far' :) minus Mario 64 DS as that's on loan at the moment :D

Love all of them, especially phoenix wright, trauma center & tetris ds

HEY!! ddrueckhammer we have very similar tastes in DS games... love the american cover of PW compared to the Euro version above :)

Haha yeah those are all great games! I almost got Partners in Time but I decided that I can wait for FFIII and Zelda for RPGs...I recommend everyone to get Zelda Minish Cap (GBA) it is phenominal. My favorite two games so far are Mario Kart and Trauma Center.

I posted this on another thread when I first bought my DS Lite. Sadly I still only have 2 games: Brain Age and Big Brain Academy. However I own a few dozen GBA games. I love this machine. :D

I don't get it...they all pretty much look the same. Am I missing something here? Do you not get enough satisfaction at looking at the picture of the box of the DSLite you already own that you need pics of other people's DS Lites?

I'm just trying to get my 500 posts together.

Not really, but if I have a DS and someone starts a thread about "Post your DS pics" why not join in. If a mod thinks it's too dumb, they can carry the thread straight to wasteland or whatever!

I don't find the DS pics too interesting, but it's nice to see in what kind of situation the pics were made and you may speculate on the persons background. It's a little far fetched, but sometimes way more interesting than reading about the future/history of an Intel chip.

To be fair, some of the things belong to my dad (turquiose Sword Of Mana GBA SP, white DS Lite & PSP) or my brother (Pokemon Ruby GBA SP, white GBA & silver DS). The rest are mine, including the Donkey Kong Game & Watch (it only cost 50p!!!)

Sorry, bad joke. It's just a mini game which you get when you buy NSMB. It's some kind of regular poker.

No strip-poker I know about.

And I'm not sure if I want to see Luigi naked.

yeah the lens is sweet. i shoot entirely with manual bulb now, especially with this lens.

the 430ex flash on high-speed (h>>>) mode makes all portraits look awesome, more of which i will be posting soon in the wide angle thread (which you should go read by the way)

the lens cost me $499; the last piece i need to pretty much finish up the equipment collection i'll need.

If anyone has a Game Boy Micro, plese post some pictures. I want one so much, even though I just got a DS Lite. I can't decide if i should get a normal one for about £50, or a Limited Edition Mother 3 (http://uk.media.gameboy.ign.com/media/813/813186/imgs_1.html) one for £105. It's not because i like the Mother series that i want it, it's just because the Mother 3 micro looks so cool!

I'm after a Micro too. Ideally I want a black one (since theres no white) but they're American only so it'll be an import job. and they're damned expensive :( if only my SP broke. would give me a reason to buy one.

Yes, it is what we call a 'wide angle' in Canon, Sigma, Nikon, Konica-Minolta, and Mavica terms ;)

No, in America you can buy black one with a silver faceplate or a silver one with a black faceplate:

http://www.ilounge.com/images/uploads/gbmx4.jpg

Luckily, I'm going on holiday to Vermont in America on 5th August so I'll be able to buy a black micro for $89.99 (£48) instead of £69 here, all I need to do now is find a black faceplate. The only bad thing about going to America on the 5th is, that i will not see what has been released at WWDC as i will not have internet access for 2 weeks. However, during that 2 weeks, I will be staying in New York for 3 days, so I can check out the new Apple Store.

Jul 29, 2006, 04:41 PM
I gave in and bought a silver micro this afternoon. It was £50 brand new! I found it in a shop called X-Electrical that sells second-hand, new and import games and consoles. It had been sold to the shop without being used, so that was why it was so cheap. I don't have time now, but i may post pictures sometime. It looks really cool in silver (maybe even better than black one that I originally wanted), because it is shinier. The UK ones come in silver, pink, blue and green with only one faceplate, and they do not come with a tool to remove the faceplate, which US ones do. They also come with a small pouch to keep your micro scratch-free. the smaller, brighter screen makes a big differance to GBA games. They look much better than they ever did on the GBA and SP, even better than they do on a DS Lite. So if you are thinking about getting one, just do it. You will not regret it.

Anyone here have the GoldenEye game? I just bought it tonight and it looks pretty sweet.

Isn't there another accessory i can use instead of the stylus? Like pads that go on my thumbs?

Tom B.

Yeah, there is a thumb shoe that straps on to your thumb, and is just a small curved piece of plastic that helps your thumb to slide on the screen more easily.
It comes in the box with the original DS, but not with the DS Lite. If you have a DS Lite, ask in a shop that sells games, because they may have a third-party one for sale. Also you could try calling Nintendo and asking because i've heard people say that they got one sent to them for free from Nintendo, because they said they needed one to play Super Mario 64.

Here's an updated photo from me. I also included my brand new ipod shuffle in the photo since they compliment each other nicely.

A note about the shuffle. I used it about 2 hours, and now it has flashing alternate error lights on it. According to what i've read online my brand new shuffle is now dead, and the problem is common. I'll have to bring it back to get replaced. Really shocked that it died so quickly.
