graphic card for the new dual 1ghz?

Someone made me a proposal to configure
my g4 Dual 1ghz with an ATI Rage Pro 128,
instead of the original Nvidia Geforce4, arguing
that it will work better with 2D (Photoshop and Final Cut Pro).
I do not care about games

Does this makes any sense?
Is the ATI card better than the Geforce4

what the diferences too,
between a an ATI Radeon 7500 and the Rage Pro 128

The Rage Pro is crap, it cannot render properly. There will be no difference with running 2D appz.

For 2D I would go with a ATI Radeon 7500. RAGE graphic cards are a bag of ****e
