A Couple of DS Related Questions

As you know I recently pick up my DS and there're a few questions I'm unsure. How can I return when I'm in a game, to the main screen the DS startup screen where I can pick Pictochat, or the Game. How do I Shut Down the DS? I do I just switch the Power Button off at any time? These questions might sound dumb but I just wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing. How can I adjust the screen brightness as well?

I don't think you can return to the startup screen without restarting, i.e., switching off and then on again.

To shutdown you just switch off – unless you are in the middle of saving a game – in which case, the game will warn you not to switch off anyway!

You can adjust the brightness on the main menu screen on startup. There is a little brightness icon at the bottom left of the screen –*just tap it with your stylus. There are four levels of brightness to choose from.

How is the Win - Loss statistic calculated for the WiFi matches?

1st place = win
any other place = lose
losing connection/exit game before it's finished = lose
having an opponent leave the game before it's finished = extra win point

There's no way to return to the menu. no home button (boo at you, Wii) just reset the machine.
