J.Lo, Beyonce and other celebrities are bringing big butts back in style. A news report states after many years of fixation in the media on big boobs, big butts are making a comeback.

Butts are the new boobs. Maybe Sir-Mixalot was right all along.

They might very well be back in style on the ladies, but guys with huge butts aren't exactly in fashion. Our fat collects around our middles first, so a large behind usually means a large keg, too. :)

I'd go as far as to say that the bearded man on the right sitting down also has both ends covered...;)

Just because these people are... larger... doesn't mean you should talk about them having two butts (ie: both ends). Double-chin jokes are fine, but leave it at that. :p ;)

I'm not saying he has two butts...I'm saying he has one voluptuous butt and a pair of voluptuous titties ;)

Just kidding, of course, haha...

Maybe because it's completely inane and lends itself to slack-jawed, cretinous objectification without any merit whatsoever?

Besides, its not even news FFS. Just some lame excuse to talk about arses.

My wife has a theory that this phenomenon happens to women while they're visiting, inside WalMart. Those exiting are the constant. I'm still studying the variables.

I read a poll which said more women (63%) feel more comfortable about their bodies than a few years ago. I do think we are seeing a cultural shift (at least in America) regarding how women's bodies are viewed. Before the whole Twiggy fad, voluptuous women were viewed as being sexy. In part due of course to voluptuous women being at a healthier child-bearing weight.

Singers like Kelly Clarkson isn't built like the typical pop songstress, but she is famous and does influence the younger generation.

fair enough point. though i think you're giving it more credence than it's worth. as the last person to care what cosmopolitan magazine type things say, i would certainly agree that it's all a sham which leads to women (and men) feeling bad about their bodies in one way or another.

that said, sometimes it's ok to lighten up and have a laugh. after all, it's not like it's in the current events (news) section!! :p

fair enough point.

Let's save the completely inane, slack-jawed, cretinous objectification to the private forums instead. :D ;)

I don't think big butts ever became unpopular. However, it is more accurate to say big fit tan butts with wide hip bones are popular. Rather than big pasty flabby curdled cheese vericose vein butts. I do not believe those will ever be popular.

I prefer the whole fit package thou with a clean symmetric face. That is free of divets, holes, zits, warts, hair, extra appendages and other obvious defects.
