Everybody is going to look at this and say i want to buy a new desktop, but alas i am going into the peace corp and while this machine is great, and i mean great, i cant travel with it, so i need to replace it with a laptop, i personally prefer the macbook :), sweet color(black). It is on the short list to say. So here goes, I have a
Dual Powermac G5 2.0 GHZ(Top of the line 1st edition)
1.5 GB RAM
410GB HD( 160 Seagate SATA, 250GB Western Digital top line SATA)
Airport Extreme Card Built in
Superdrive(original G5, 4x DVD-R, RW, 16x CD-R etc)
ATI RADEON 9600 Pro
Gigabit Ethernet
Apple Aperture
MAC OS X 10.4 Tiger with ilife 06
Applecare(4 Months remaining) on both desktop and monitor
Apple Studio Display 17" ADC with Silver, last generation of Apple Studio Display, still has the best colors of all apple displays ever, still better than all the aluminum displays, has only been used for less than a year, because of travel abroad w/out computer, no dead pixels, and no dimness or sign of wear and tear.
Apple Keyboard and Mouse
I have kept the computer in top cleanliness and condition, dusting off the insides regularly and making sure the fans and cooling are fully functional and top line.
I cannot think of any additional things that make up this computer, but i have had a wonderful time with and have run FCP and Photoshop on it a lot and they work great, it has had no problems and i honestly have no expectations of failure for it.

I am trying to see if anybody is interested in this machine and i am looking at around $1800 obo for the system +$100 shipping obo, i have put over $4000 dollars into this system new and have never regretted it, it still has some applecare left and the real deal here is that it is both the system and the monitor($713 when bought) and i have added OS X 10.4 Tiger in addition to the extra hard drive and memory and airport extreme. IM me if interested or respond here

Thank You and feel free to ask me any questions

Would you be willing to split the tower from the monitor? I might be interested in the Studio Display.

Thanks,
Matthew

I might be interested, but only if i get an offer on the tower only, i would be asking between 350 and $400 for the monitor shipped

Not trying to thread-crap, I'm only showing you what the market is actually like for those monitors: eBay (http://computers.search-completed.ebay.com/apple-studio-display-17_LCD-Flat-Panel_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfclZ3QQfisZ2QQfromZR7QQfrppZ50QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ1QQsacatZ29501).

Keep in mind the price of a brand new 20" widescreen..

Good luck with your sale, though - that's an amazing computer!

Yeah, it's a great computer. I hope you the best of luck with your sale.

However, I was gonna offer $175 shipped for the monitor. So your asking price seems a bit high. I *think* the genral consensus of using the MRMarketplace is that sellers make a bit less than ebay, but get a higher class/quality/responsible buyer.

Again, not trying to thread crap, so best of luck with your sale.

Hey,
no disagreement that the monitor may be a tad bit high, but take in note that it has less than a year of mild use under its belt, 4 months of applecare left on it, and is still from a technical standpoint, considered to be the highest quality 17" display anyone has or still makes for color accuracy, brightness and sheer beauty of construction, it is in pristine condition with no scratches or blemishes of any kind and has no dead pixels or white spots, or any spots at all,
I am willing to part for the monitor for $275(shipped) and the tower for $1500(shipped obo)
