Accessing Windows computer from Jaguar

Alright guys, I'm trying to access the shared folders on my Windows XP computer from OS X over my wireless network. I've got the Windows side currently able to access the iMac through SMB but can't get the Windows set up for access from OS X. I've tried to connect through the Connect to Server dialog, but my computer never shows up and can't get it to connect at all by typing in the computer name, etc. Anyone have any suggestions?

from the Mac, can you ping the windows machine?

Try connecting using your Windows machine's IP adress instead of its name.

Try making sure that you have set at least one folder on your XP machine as a shared folder.

My iMac would not recognize my Win98 machine until I did this. Once I set a Win98 folder as shared, the iMac found it right away.
