I just saw the halfpipe finals on OLN, and it looked like a good contest. That japanese kid, Kazu Kokubo killed it. Amazing how there can be such talented riders coming out of nowhere, 14 years old and gets second place for his contest debut.
Ross Powers dominated as expected, but what happened to Danny Kass? Andy Finch? There were so many heats they didn't show tonight.

Anyone notice that Hannah Teter was listening to an iPod during her runs? (see there is an Apple connection)

I can relate to young people excelling in sports. My diving coach
was up against an 11 year old in the OLYMPICS in 1994. The
11 year old didn't get far at all, but to be in the olympics at 11...
wow. I don't mean to brag (I don't think this is even bragging)
but my coach won gold on men's 10 meter platform diving that
year.

As for snowboarding, I think halfpipe is awesome, and I know I
would be an avid snowboarder if I lived somehwere where it
actually snowed (I live in texas ;)).
