View Full Version : What is your favorite Mac Store?

I was just wondering if you guys had a favorite Mac retailer? I am sure that you have opinions based on the years of being Mac enthusiasts.

My current favorite is Smalldog.com. But I am partial to smaller companies. (and their WebCams are pretty darn cool.) But I have to say that their devotion to dogs is a little extreme! (my 2 year old loves the little plastic dogs that they send with the orders... :))

(Just to make it clear, they don't have to be Apple Stores. But they could be.... :D)

I've been to the Falls in Miami and International Mall in Tampa. I like the Tampa store the best. Last time I was in the Falls 5 apple employees asked me if I needed help in a row. I wasn't happy.

Used to go through MacWharehouse. Now I prefer the Apple Store on Bay St (East Bay) for regular items, and the online Apple Store for computers (since 1999).

Di-No computers in Pasadena, CA. They have very good service; one guy even remembered me when I went to buy my iBook, even though the only time I'd been there before was to buy a power adapter for a PB 1400c. They were very happy to match a deal Unitek had (free 256MB ram with iBook purchase).

Next to that would be the Pasadena Apple Store. My girlfriend (übergeek) would disagree with me, but all the best people from Glendale were transferred to Pasadena, and they know their stuff and are always willing to help.

Apple Store at CambridgeSide Galleria. I enjoy all the Mac's available for a test drive. Lots of software. Plenty of knowledgeable people. My only complaint currently is that they don't have a 17" PB to test drive!

I stopped at the Apple Company Store in mid-Feb., and was quite shocked to discover that they didn't have a 17" on display! What gives?

Anyway, I currently frequent the Chandler Apple Store, but I haven't really been buying much lately.

I used to go to Micro Center around Philly because it was so good. When, I moved to Florida, I did mostly mail order with MacWarehouse or OtherWorld Computing. Lately, I'll go to CompUSA (eeek) or the Apple Store in Orlando.

I am going to have to invest some time and drive 4 hours to the nearest Apple store. Y'all seem to think quite highly of them....
